I had to read it twice. Styx was and is my favorite band. During those early 80's when I was discovering who and what I was, many times their music was both a guide and an escape.
And now, here they are supporting the Republicans?
WTF?!?!!
So, I wrote them through their website:
You can't begin to understand the level of disappointment I feel today as I just read that Styx is playing
the Republican Convention!
WTF dudes?!?!
I have been a fan since high school in the early 80's, and I still blare as loud as I can Styx in the car,
and several of your songs, over 20 years old, still make me cry when I hear them.
And so does this news today.
Well, I got a response:

STYX is in no way shape or form condoning the RNC! Where did you hear this news? It is mistaken!!!
The only way STYX even agreed to this date was if they were no way associated w/ the RNC events that were unfortunately taking place at the same time.
